Only affects images uploaded AFTER the filter is active. Existing images keep the quality they were encoded at until you regenerate them. And note the preview above is your browser's JPEG encoder, not your server's — the artefacts are representative, the byte counts are not.

Every JPEG you upload is re-encoded at quality 82 by default. That is fine for photos and visibly bad for screenshots and flat graphics. This generates the filter to change it, with a live preview of what each quality level costs.

ما جودة JPEG التي يستخدمها WordPress افتراضيًا؟

82. كل صورة JPEG ترفعها يُعاد ترميزها بتلك الجودة، وكذلك كل حجم مشتق يولّده WordPress منها. إنها قيمة افتراضية معقولة للصور الفوتوغرافية وسيئة على نحو ظاهر للقطات الشاشة والشعارات والرسوم المسطحة — فهذه لها حواف حادة ولا ضوضاء فوتوغرافية تخفي فيها عيوب الضغط.

هل ينبغي أن أضبط جودة JPEG على 100؟

لا. فوق 92 تقريبًا تشتري حجم ملف بدل جودة مرئية، و100 يمكن أن يضاعف حجم الملف ثلاث مرات مقابل فرق لن يلاحظه أحد. إذا كانت صورك لقطات شاشة أو رسوم واجهة، فالنطاق المعقول هو 88–92.

هل يصلح تغيير هذا الصور التي رفعتها بالفعل؟

لا. ينطبق المرشّح على الصور المعالَجة بعد تفعيله. تبقى الصور الموجودة بالجودة التي رُمّزت بها حتى تعيد رفعها أو تعيد توليد الصور المصغرة بإضافة أو بأمر 'wp media regenerate'.
