These terms cover your use of the Odie Themes website, its browser-based tools, and its WordPress themes. Using the site means you accept them. They are deliberately short, because the site is deliberately simple.

The tools

The tools are free to use, with no account and no limit. They run in your browser and are provided "as is". We work hard to make them correct — the image tools in particular are built to match WordPress's real behaviour — but we cannot guarantee every output is right for every setup, and you are responsible for reviewing what a tool generates before you use it on a live site. In plain terms: back up your site before pasting generated code or running generated SQL. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the tools.

The themes

Our themes are licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. You may use them on any number of sites, commercial or not, and you may modify them. The GPL comes with no warranty. Theme support is provided on a best-effort basis through each theme's forum on WordPress.org.

Refunds

Everything on this site is free. There is nothing to purchase, so there is nothing to refund. A paid "PRO" theme tier existed until 2022 and has been discontinued — everything that was in it is now in the free version under the GPL. If a paid product is ever introduced in the future, its refund terms will be stated here at that time.

Acceptable use

Use the site normally. Do not attempt to disrupt it, scrape it abusively, or use it to build a competing directory of our content wholesale. You are welcome to link to any tool, guide, or reference here — in fact, please do.

Intellectual property

The themes are GPL, as above. The written guides, reference material, and the tools' interfaces are the work of Odie Themes; you may quote and link to them freely with attribution, but please do not republish them wholesale as your own.

Changes

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date will change when we do. Odie Themes has operated since 2019.
