Is het veilig om WP_DEBUG op een live site in te schakelen?

Alleen met WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY op false. Op zichzelf print WP_DEBUG PHP-notices en -waarschuwingen — inclusief de absolute bestandspaden van je server — rechtstreeks in de pagina's die je bezoekers laden. Bijna elke tutorial geeft je die ene regel en stopt daar. Combineer het met WP_DEBUG_LOG en WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY op false en het is veilig.

Waar komt het WordPress-debuglog terecht?

wp-content/debug.log standaard. Goed om te weten: op veel hosts is dat bestand publiek opvraagbaar — iedereen kan het in een browser opvragen. Je kunt in plaats daarvan een pad meegeven aan WP_DEBUG_LOG en het log boven de webroot schrijven, wat deze tool voor je genereert.

Ik heb WP_DEBUG op true gezet en er gebeurde niets. Waarom?

Bijna altijd omdat de constante is toegevoegd ONDER de regel die zegt "That's all, stop editing!" in wp-config.php. Alles na die regel wordt genegeerd. Zet het erboven.
